Senior Director, Practice Optimization & Operations Strategy

This role is based at Dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre, reporting directly to the Vice President Operations Strategy & Insights. As a pivotal member of our team, the successful candidate will spearhead the development and execution of innovative strategies aimed at optimizing practice performance. Key responsibilities will include streamlining operations, reducing costs, driving growth, and enhancing productivity across our network. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our practices by implementing cutting-edge solutions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
In this role, you will
- Develop and execute robust strategies that support the company's overarching goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and leverage opportunities for growth, efficiency improvements, and competitive advantage.
- Analyze and refine operational processes and workflows to uncover opportunities for optimization and efficiency enhancements. Create and implement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and elevate productivity.
- Be responsible for integrating labor management strategies delivering actionable insights to drive improved labor performance. Implement best practices to maximize labor efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee the development and implementation of performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and enhance business performance across various functions and departments. Present insightful and regular reporting to senior leadership on key metrics and business outcomes.
- Utilize advanced analytics and forecasting techniques to predict future trends and performance. Develop sophisticated models and scenarios to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Product Development teams to align operational and strategic objectives. Share insights and drive coordinated actions to ensure organizational success.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for your team. Support their growth through on-the-job training, arranging appropriate educational resources, and delivering timely feedback.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating emotional intelligence and persuasive communication skills to drive collaboration and achieve shared goals.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data analytics and technology. Evaluate and implement new tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of analytics processes.
- Work closely with field teams and practices to execute optimization plans effectively across the network, ensuring seamless implementation and alignment with strategic objectives.
What we’re looking for
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required. An advanced degree such as an MBA or MS is highly preferred and will be considered a significant asset.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles within analytics, operations, or strategy, ideally in fast-paced and dynamic environments. Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and leading teams effectively is essential.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a deep understanding of data analysis, statistical modeling, and quantitative methods. Proven ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights that drive decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into compelling narratives and actionable insights. Proven track record of using data to inform strategy and influence stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, and a strong command of advanced analytics tools and techniques. Experience with other data manipulation and analysis software is a plus.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the capability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively to non-technical audiences. Experience in crafting and delivering presentations that drive action and align with strategic goals.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and identify opportunities. Proven experience in driving strategic initiatives and making data-driven recommendations that align with organizational objectives.
- Experience successfully partnering across multiple sites or locations to drive strategic practice optimization initiatives and ensure cohesive execution of plans. Demonstrated ability to navigate and align diverse teams and stakeholders towards common goals in a healthcare or retail organization.
