Toronto, ON – August 27, 2020 – For the third straight year, dentalcorp, in partnership with their learning arm DC Institute, has been recognized with the Brandon Hall Group HCM (Human Capital Management) Excellence Award for its industry-leading continuing education programs in dentistry. The company was honoured with Gold for its Associate Development Program – the highest designation in the category of “Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program”.

dentalcorp's Associate Development Program is a dynamic, multi-faceted professional development experience that is the first of its kind in Canada. Lead by DC Institute, the program prepares dentists with foundational clinical and patient experience skills, while fostering leadership and management competencies.

The Excellence in HCM Program honours organizations judged to be the best of the best for developing and deploying programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable and impactful business results. The judging criteria includes alignment to learning needs, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measurable benefits.

“Organizations around the world highly value Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards – so much so that we received a record number of applications in the middle of a global pandemic,” said Rachel Cooke, Brandon Hall Group COO, and leader of the HCM Excellence Awards Program. “The awards provide valuable recognition and validation of best practices in all areas of HCM at a time when they have never been more important to both employers and employees.”

dentalcorp through DC Institute, an AGD PACE-approved provider, provides continuing education courses for dentists and their teams across Canada. The Associate Development Program, the first of its kind in Canada, was designed and developed entirely in-house and provides the information, skills, and knowledge necessary to effectively onboard and accelerate the development of associate dentists new to dentalcorp Practices. The team used both traditional and agile methodologies in designing the solution, relying on a blend of various learning approaches and technologies: self-paced eLearning, mentorship, virtual classroom, and social collaboration.  The program includes hands-on guidance and clinical skill development from a network of dentalcorp Partner mentors who are leaders in the field, and a robust evaluative component that allows the accurate measurement of the program’s effectiveness.

“We’re pleased to be recognized for our innovative approach to supporting and developing our associate dentists,” said Guy Amini, dentalcorp’s President. “Traditionally, onboarding of new dentists is done exclusively face-to-face in a host practice by a more senior dentist and a Practice Manager, which can produce mixed results. dentalcorp’s Associate Development Program is unique in that it ensures a consistent onboarding experience of Associates while reducing turnover, improving engagement, and providing a faster progression to clinical mastery.”
