PURPOSE

The Director, Operations is responsible for managing and overseeing the continued growth and success of the group’s portfolio of pedodontic dental practices. By developing a long-term strategy focused on the delivery of optimal patient care, this position is instrumental in driving organic growth and value creation for the portfolio, while building culture and engagement amongst all team members.


PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY      

  1. Growth Facilitator
  2. Practice Optimizer
  3. Brand Ambassador 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Principal Dentist(s) to develop and execute the growth strategy for the pedodontic group portfolio
  • Be accountable for achieving annual growth targets and profitability
  • Work with the Principal Dentist(s) and team members to optimize each practices’ operations
  • Develop relationships with associate dentists to foster engagement and alignment of interests
  • Engage and foster relationships with the current Partner network to drive referrals and industry interest in a Partnership with dentalcorp
  • Establish and implement processes to optimize scheduling, increase new patient flow and drive patient retention
  • Liaise with the teams at dentalcorp for marketing, HR, and back office support services
  • Promote an environment of excellence amongst all team members to build each practice’s profile in the community
  • Enhance the brand’s reputation in the industry to drive referrals from other healthcare practitioners
  • Identify and implement programs and systems that support brand and practice growth & optimization
  • Act as the brand ambassador, building a professional and positive profile for dentalcorp within the pedodontic community in Canada

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

  • Proven ability and demonstrated success to develop and lead the execution of a growth-oriented business strategy in a clinical environment
  • Experience in the dental sector with strong preference toward leading a pediatric dental group practice
  • Comfortable and thrives in a high-growth, fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven ability to drive sustainable, measurable profitable growth, through rigour around financial and operating KPIs and metrics
  • 5 + years’ experience in managing multi-unit, high-growth portfolios
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills; proven ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships across diverse groups and levels
  • Strong people and communication skills capable of handling challenging situations and different personality styles
  • Proven ability to execute large scale projects involving numerous stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Some travel across Canada may be required
