POSITION OVERVIEW

The Learning and Development Coordinator will assist in preparing and editing training materials for live learn sessions and courses for our online training platform. This team member will support the Learning Team with coordination, development and delivering continuing education to support our dental community. The Training and Development Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating all live learn sessions and seminars, all administration tasks as required for the Learning and Development department.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Schedule and plan all training sessions, including participant invitations, training rooms, equipment and catering arrangements

·        Keep records about each training course, prepare and distribute attendance verifications

·        Assist with writing and editing training documentation such as courses, training manuals, handouts for participants, questionnaires and other support materials

·        Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

·        Administer and update the Learning Management Software as required

·        Additional administrative duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Related experience including training design, development of  training programs (both in class and on-line) considered an asset

·        Degree or diploma in HR, Adult Education or a related field considered an asset

·        Thrives in a fast-paced and result-orientated environment with fluctuating requirements

·        Capability to give and receive feedback

·        Proficient in editing documents for content flow, grammar, and spelling

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·        Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

·        Knowledge of Learning Management Software is preferred

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills

·        Highly organized, punctual and able to prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines

·        Confident public speaker

·        Availability to travel (5% of time)

·        Flexible to work some evenings and weekends for conferences when necessary
