Registered Dental Assistant Level II - Mayflower Dental

About Us:
Mayflower Dental has been serving the Sydney and surrounding areas for years. Our office is in an accessible location and we are a dedicated patient-based clinic. We pride ourselves on providing optimal patient care to our patients and their families in a friendly and caring environment.

This practice offers  comprehensive dental services, from emergency treatment, general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implant restoration, Botox, 
Invisalign, TMJ services and full smile makeovers. We have a talented team of Dental Hygienists that work closely with our dentists to provide you with excellent care, provide oral cancer and periodontal screening to assist you with understanding your oral health.  Mayflower Dental has an RDA Clinical Lead that assists with sterilization and clinical flow throughout the day.

Being part of the Mayflower Dental Group, with 6 locations in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality – we are able to provide a solid internal patient referral program, dental hygiene program, excellent support system for expanding your skill set and the opportunity to learn among a very talented group of Dental Professionals. We use the most up to date equipment and technologies within our group of clinics. Our teams work together to ensure that our patients receive a positive experience when they visit the clinic from check in to check out.

This position is full-time (rotating schedule). Our schedule is very unique and allows our employees to have a good work/life balance. The ability to accept additional hours is available within our Mayflower Dental Group network of clinics.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Clinical chairside assisting duties including knowledge of instrumentation

• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

• Prepare treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient

• Thorough understanding of practice health and safety requirements

About You:

• Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia is required.

• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
