Dr. Gary Glassman Endodontic Achievement Award recognizes academic and clinical excellence
Toronto, ON – October 10, 2019 – dentalcorp, Canada’s leading network of dental clinics, announced today the creation of a new endowment fund by its Chief Dental Officer, Dr. Gary Glassman. This new achievement award recognizes and supports undergraduate dental students at the University of Toronto, and highlights Dr Glassman’s commitment to higher education.
Each year, the Dr. Gary Glassman Endodontic Achievement Award will be presented to the fourth year undergraduate dental student who best demonstrates academic and clinical excellence in endodontics. An undergraduate awards committee comprised of faculty and staff will review each student candidate submitted for consideration and determine the winner, who receives a $1,000 award. The value of the award increases each year in accordance with the value of the fund.
Dr. Glassman is a world-renowned endodontist, full-time practicing dentist, global lecturer, and instructor in dentistry at the University of Toronto. He is also a University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry alumnus.
“It’s critical that we as practitioners and educators support the growth and development of the next wave of dental professionals,” said Dr. Glassman. “Recognizing and awarding proficiency in endodontics through this award is a way to recognize talented students, but it also benefits the practice community, ensuring that new dentists are bringing excellence and innovation to the industry.”

The inaugural Dr. Gary Glassman Endodontic Achievement Award will be presented at the Faculty’s Licensing and Awards ceremony on June 5, 2020.
