Toronto, ON – February 19, 2020 – dentalcorp, Canada’s largest and leading network of dental clinics, announced the creation of a new scholarship program that supports the next generation of oral healthcare professionals. Each year, one graduating student in dentistry, dental hygiene, and dental assisting programs at Canadian institutions will have their tuition fees fully reimbursed and receive a multi-year contract at a dentalcorp practice.
“As a healthcare organization it is our goal to provide graduates with opportunities to learn and grow in an enriched environment,” said Guy Amini, dentalcorp President. “The scholarship allows us to recognize individuals who share our commitment to advancing excellence in dentistry and who embody the values we instill in our practice network.”
Increasingly, dental professionals are prioritizing work-life balance, and yet achieving that balance is a huge challenge for grads grappling with unprecedented debt loads in a highly competitive field. Tuition costs for dentistry programs can be into the hundreds of thousands of dollars and once licensed, the stress of debt becomes a major focus and can greatly limit career choices. With the dentalcorp Academic Excellence Award, students can graduate debt-free and embark on a rewarding career path with a dentalcorp practice right away.
“This award will alleviate financial pressure for a student in each program so they can focus on developing their skills and get a head start with their career, instead of focusing on debt.” continued Amini.
The dentalcorp Academic Excellence Award will be available to all graduating students of Canadian accredited colleges or universities who are majoring in dental assisting, dental hygiene, or dentistry. Students can apply at acadamicexcellenceaward.com starting February 18, 2020 with the deadline for submission March 27, 2020.
The winning applicants will be announced on May 15, 2020.
