Program Manager, Talent and Organizational Development

The talent management programming includes the full employee lifecycle and experiences: recruitment and selection, professional development paths for onboarding, leadership development, performance management, as well as talent assessments, culture and engagement, recognition, and succession planning.

This is a hybrid position based out of Dentalcorp's Toronto Support Centre. Reporting to the Director of Talent and Organizational Development, you seek opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning, you’re adaptable and thrive in collaborative-matrix team environment. In this role, you will

Manage and support the full talent lifecycle for organizational development - Delivery of Talent Management Programs

  • Manage the delivery of talent management programs to enhance organizational performance and potential.  This includes developing curriculum, conducting workshops, and upskilling key stakeholders to enhance their capabilities.
  • Co-design and deliver talent management programs, ensuring successful outcomes and alignment with organizational goals. Identifies areas for improvement and enhances the talent experience.
  • Establish cross-functional synergies that provide training and development resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements.
  • Manage the delivery of all talent management lifecycle programs to foster a high-performance organization, utilizing HRIS and LCMS platforms to launch, monitor, and implement new initiatives.

Support a people-centric business model - Leadership & Culture

  • Support and manage talent and succession pipelines, performance, wellbeing, and recognition programs to enhance and reinforce professional development and career experiences for our workforce.
  • Support and deliver across all efforts to embed the organization’s culture and leadership values across employee experiences for talent management and recognition programs. 
  • Support and deliver on the program management of the Organizational Culture & Engagement survey. Planning, administering, and analyzing results from culture surveys to assess employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support stakeholders in creating action plans based on survey findings to effectively address key areas and foster a positive workplace culture.

Ensure program design and delivery with the end user in mind - Talent Experience, Reporting & Systems

  • Lead the integration of Learning journey paths between LCMS and HRIS to create a seamless employee experience, supporting career growth and optimal learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder groups and Centres of Excellence, to ensure that all talent management programs prioritize optimal end user / employee / learner experiences focusing on accessibility, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Proficient in data analysis to translate HRIS/LCMS data into meaningful and actionable insights
  • Provide periodic reports to senior management regarding the status, completion and impact of functional talent programs.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness and impact of learning and development programs to create a culture of continuous learning.
  • Establish and maintain key metrics to measure performance of talent management efforts and initiatives for ROI.

Manage and lead results through co-creative process & relationships - Stakeholder Engagement

  • Consulting with Strategic Analytical Skills: Provides program design advice and guidance to stakeholders on the delivery of strategic talent management initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments to understand their needs and perspectives, ensuring their involvement and buy-in for talent-related programs.
  • Collaboration: Fosters a supportive and proactive collaborative approach among stakeholders and colleagues to co-create and implement talent management strategies, whilst ensuring a unified approach to achieving organizational success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of interrelated professional experience in: HR, talent management and strategy, organizational design and development.
  • 3 years of consulting and/or strategic people advisory experience working with various client groups in Field Operations and/or a HR Centre of Excellence.
  • University bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, business, industrial/organizational psychology, HR management, HR systems and interventions, organizational behaviour, or organizational development.
  • Advanced knowledge and applied experience with Learning and HR management systems (ie. Docebo, Cornerstone, and/or Workday).
  • Openness and courage to re-imagine work, processes, and topics with fresh thinking and bold vision for continuous improvements.
  • Experience in researching, designing, and implementing people practices such as talent mapping, succession planning, onboarding, talent management programs across the full employee lifecycle.  
  • Excellent project / program and time management skills to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required with solid presentation/facilitation skills 
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, reliable, self-motivated, and balanced values on being equally results and relationship oriented.
  • Ability to problem solve, generate new ideas, create insights, and think creatively.
