Reflections of Proud Canadians

Posted Jul 1st, 2019 in the wire, 2019, thought leadership

Since our inception in 2011, we have steadily grown into a strong, sustainable Canadian company. With nearly 400 locations, we are Canada’s leading network of dental practices, proudly serving over 3 million Canadians each year. Our network is comprised of more than 5,700 team members – their diverse backgrounds and stories make up the fabric of our company and nation at large.

This Canada Day, we asked our People to reflect on what being Canadian means to them.

.

“Being Canadian to me means that you are a part of an intricate mosaic. Canada is composed of people from all backgrounds. The multiculturalism that Canada possesses welcomes every culture and allows people to be who they are. Canada does not shape Canadians. Canadians shape Canada.”

“There is a privilege of enjoying all the freedoms and responsibilities that come with being Canadian. I couldn’t imagine a better place to live. There is immeasurable beauty in this country, in both the landscape and the people.”

"In the words of John G. Diefenbaker: I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind.”

“To me, being Canadian means celebrating our diversity and striking up friendly conversations with strangers.”

“Time well spent with those I cherish most.  An opportunity to appreciate the simple things in life surrounded by the beautiful country we live in.”

“To me, Canada is synonymous with BRAVERY. It was bravery that led our families on that voyage to a new land filled with hope, and it was bravery that led our country to the top of Vimy Ridge and the shores of Juno Beach. Because of those sacrifices and triumphs, we all celebrate on this Canada Day and give thanks for being in the greatest country in the world.”

Happy 152nd Birthday, Canada! May you always remain our True North, strong and free.
