2020 National Infection Control Week: Wrap Up

Posted Oct 22nd, 2020 in 2020, spotlights, the wire

In celebration of National Infection Control Week, we're shining a light on individuals in our network who have done an exceptional job protecting the health and safety of our patients and team members. Here's what they had to say:

"I feel very passionate in my commitment to upholding the highest standards of infection control to protect our patients, families and our team. I want to be confident that everyone who enters our practice will be as safe as possible.” - Sandra Thompson, Comox Valley Dental Centre in BC

“Maintaining the highest level of infection control and a safe environment is of the upmost importance in the dental office. Each team member plays an important role in keeping our patients and dental family safe. Through continuing education, we ensure that each team member has the current tools and knowledge for implementing optimum standards of infection control.” - Juliette Crete, Ottawa West Dental in ON

"Proper infection prevention and control not only protects patients and staff within our clinic, it also protects our families and communities. IPAC measures ensure our clinic can continue to provide the safest of care to our patients regardless of the ever-changing environment around us. IPAC is not merely a chore or checklist, it's a cultural responsibility we take very seriously here at Highland Dental Centre." - Nancy Smith, Highland Dental Centre in NS

“We have always worked together for the success of the clinic, which depends above all on the safety and well-being of our patients and our employees. Faced with the current situation, our priority was to ensure that the procedures in place complied with all public health guidelines. With the understanding of our patients’ concern around their safety, we were motivated to create a safe environment for our patients. With the collaboration and support of Dr. Bernard, we made necessary changes in both the clinic and in our schedules. The goal was to bring all employees back to work, always respecting the limited number of people inside the clinic, and to deliver excellence to our patients. ” - France Langevin & Ruth Gasse, Clinique Dentaire Samuel Holland in QC.
